Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had some ups and downs during my stay. The rooms lacked a table surface for dining and felt overpriced for a standard room but lacked a refrigerator and microwave. On the bright side, the service was accommodating, despite finding wet areas from open windows and leftover items. The location had its perks with nice amenities like a lazy river and a pool bar, although it was crowded at times and lacked good beverage service. The dining options were tasty but overpriced, while facilities were average.
The hotel room we stayed in was very musty and damp, which led us to move rooms due to the unpleasant smell and humidity. However, the new room we got was spacious, clean, and offered a great view of the lake. Going with my 77-year-old mother, we appreciated the room quality, but the lack of a fridge like the suite was a downside.
Staying at the Golden Nugget was a great experience overall. The rooms were very clean and beyond nice, but the proximity to maintenance and staff elevators made for early morning noise. Service was a mix of extremely rude encounters and courteous, friendly, and helpful interactions. The location was beautiful and well-kept, perfect for families, but there were issues with extra charges and missing entertainment options. The dining experience at the Jack Daniel's grill was a bit pricey and some food was cold. Despite that, the facilities were well-maintained, and there were evident ups and downs in this stay.
